We are currently looking for the following positions;

Plumbing and Heating Engineer

Are you a plumbing and heating engineer that would be interested to get into the highly sought after renewable energy industry?

Do you want to work for a company that will invest into your training and development which will enable you to work on state of the art renewable technology?

In this role you will carry out installations, planned preventive maintenance and breakdown repair on biomass and air source heat pumping systems.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ level 2 in plumbing and heating and want to gain entry into the renewable industry, or ideally have experience.

This is an amazing opportunity for a plumbing and heating engineer to join a renewable energy company where you will be treated as a valued employee and receives excellent training.

We consider our Engineers to be the absolute best in the industry. We train them to be, and help them progress in what is undoubtedly the fastest growing sector in the Plumbing and Heating industry. They share our passion and meet our high standards, delivering niche and high-end installations.

The successful candidates will need to be available to start work within the next month and will be trained to install cutting-edge Green heating installations including Biomass, Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps, along with ever increasing renewable sector.

Ludlow Stoves and Renewables are a dedicated team of employed system designers and Heating engineers, all with a passion for Renewable Energy installations.

Our order book continues to grow and currently sits at 6-months. Demand for our skills / installations is at an all-time high due to up-coming changes planned for fossil-fuel heating systems. The role:

  • Installation, maintenance and fault finding of renewable heating systems
  • Visiting a mix of new build and retrofit domestic properties
  • Covering the local area

The Person:

  • Minimum of NVQ level 2 plumbing and heating
  • Experience in domestic central heating systems
  • UK driving license
  • Experience in heat pumps is highly desirable

Hours

  • Full time
  • Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. No weekend work unless you want it.
  • On occasion overnight stays maybe required
  • Overtime maybe available during busy periods

Stove & Fireplace installer

Ludlow Stoves & Renewables are a leading supplier and installers of some of the finest wood burning, multi-fuel and gas appliances in Shropshire. We operate throughout the whole of Shropshire with quality always at the forefront of what we do.

Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a friendly, competent, organised and hardworking person to join our busy team. You will be the installation team leader and ensure that the installations are kept to an excellent standard.

You must be able to:

  • Understand a customer’s requirements and aspirations.
  • Follow instruction but also be able to work under your own initiative.
  • Work to building regulations and our customers high level of expectation.
  • As you will be mainly working in customers’ homes you need to be presentable with good customer-facing skills.

 

Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • A sound knowledge of the wood and/or gas stove and fireplace installation including flues and chimneys.
  • Be proficient in carrying out general building works, such as opening chambers, installing lintols, bricklaying etc.
  • Have additional building skills to add to the team.
  • A positive and flexible attitude to work.
  • A practical mind
  • Natural customer interaction skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Exceptional communicator both written and verbal
  • Driving License
  • HETAS certificaiton (required but training can be given for the right candidate)
